Holy cow! And I thought a whanged up GT-R and a dented R8 courtesy of the Top Gear magazine team was a sacrilege of the highest proportions. At least dents can be repaired but submerging a car in ice-cold river water, that’s just plain wrong. And this Dutch guy did just that.

Reports say that the bloke just took out the Audi R8 for a test drive when he lost control and steered the car into a river. Well, as a consolation, no one got hurt save for the race. Official findings say that the guy was going at least 80 but witnesses say that he was doing at least 125 when he hit a bump then lost control.

I just hope he can pay for that or at least the dealership had the insurance to cover the damage. Makes you want to consider amateur eugenics whenever you get to hear these newsbits concerning people wrecking supercars.
