Volkswagen Passat R36 Variant ConceptThe Volkswagen group is surely trying to develop their fleet this year with hotter cars especially with the clubsport quattro editions of the Audi A3 TDI and the TT. They’ve also unveiled their racer in the 24-hour Nurburgring race - the Volkswagen Scirocco GT24.

Then, they’ve also decided that the Passat R36 could get a little more oomph so they made a Passat R36 Variant Concept. It gets larger tailpipes, six-piston Brembo brakes and 20-inch wheels. Inside, the car sports Recaro race seats.

If you’re expecting more tuning, well you might get disappointed since it will still sport the same power figures. Powering the car is still the same 3.6L V6 engine that produces 300 hp. But hey, 300 hp? That’s might handful and the additions surely would boost performance somehow especially with the wheels and the brakes. And yes, sitting on race seats give you a sort of speed-placebo effect.
