More GM madness with this newsbit. This is one thing that the company can’t afford right now. Recalls cost a lot of money and they just won’t be recalling a couple hundred thousand, they’ll be dealing with nearly a million vehicles.
857,735 GM vehicles has been flagged for due to a faulty windshield washer fluid heater. The fault may cause other electrical features to get screwed up, even create nasty smells, or smoke. This should be classified to a problem that should have never existed if only automakers haven’t brought all of this electronic thingamajiggery into the equation. A toasted car surely isn’t worth the perk of getting heated wiper fluids.

It is tough for any business to become a repo-man! When an automanufacturer makes a product and aims at drawing in the consumers with promises of high quality and long term warranty, then sells a lemon it hurts everyone involved. The manufacturers reputation is deformed, the salespersons sales decrease, the number of potential buyers goes away and the effort of manufacturing a complete product is lost to a defective electrical component.
It would be wise to make sure that fully functional and defect free products are put into the market place. This is the beating heart of middle management america not taking responsibility for its actions. Today GM recalls nearly 1 Million cars/trucks/suv tomorrow it will be a million defective hybrid or hydrogen vehicles, with more costly corporate effects. Taking someones car from their garage because of faulty wiring or machining is a lousy way to do business, but its a great way to become ridiculed as untrusted.

It’s really a shame that with all the problems GM is having selling cars and trucks, now they have this to deal with. You would think they would make sure that these things worked and didn’t have problems before shipping them out to the dealers. It’s no wonder that Toyota is eating their lunch.
