Koenigsegg CCXR Carbon FiberWhat’s great about having the motor show going is that we all get to be surprised at the other non-hyped debuts and showcases. And by God, there are some really nice features in the ongoing Geneva Motor Show. It’ll be a challenge for us here to really be on top of these things.

Anyway, here’s one interesting feature - the Koenigsegg CCXR covered in nothing but carbon fiber. Yup, in seeming naked glory with nothing but carbon fiber as birthday suit. Now, you might say that Bugatti did this first with the Veyron Pur Sang but hey, this is another monster supercar we’re talking about here. And look, the wheels are even carbon fiber!

Compound that with the 4.7L twin-supercharged V8 dishing out 1,018 hp that you find under the hood, and this is one wicked car. And get this, Nature and the green brigade might also love you for driving one since this can run on E85 ethanol as well.

I haven’t really read or heard any news so far regarding Koenigsegg’s financial standing since they were reported to be in debt (surprisingly in an amount that is even less than one of their supercars). But it’s always great to see them doing some great designs and engineering with this one.
