Ferrari F149You know it’s bad when even automakers who are supposed to be operating in leagues of their own are also shifting their development goals to address an issue. Though, quite honestly, I don’t really seem to get it. Isn’t driving a Ferrari all about not caring about how much gas it guzzles? And if you can buy a Ferrari, then you shouldn’t also be the type who’d worry if gas prices are sky high, right?

Oh well, but word has it that Ferrari is looking at deploying cars powered by V6 engines. Many “real” Ferrari fans might be disgusted at this Dino badge resurrection and Dino fans might just be jumping for joy. However, this is just only speculation and rumors as of late. Smaller displacement doesn’t really mean the engine will be swilling gas any less.

The latest in the Ferrari line, the Ferrari California will be getting a 4.3L V8 which is the same displacement engine found in the F430. So we might have to watch out for the next Ferrari announcement and quickly check which engine it will be sporting. Remember that the Dino resurrection was dubbed as the F149 and was slated to get the same 4.3L V8.
