If you are a smart buyer, then you shouldn’t be only looking at the product, you should also be looking at after sales and service. That’s probably why people buy at their local dealerships - so that when the car suddenly croaks under warranty, then you can readily bitch about it some place near you.

Well, that’s the case for many but not for this guy who shipped his Lamborghini Murcielago LP-640 from Qatar to London - to have his oil changed. Well, at the authorized dealership, the service would’ve just cost £3,552 but the back-and-forth freight costs a whopping £20,000! That’s a £23,552 service bill for you. Enough to buy a new Impreza WRX with a few options!

Not a problem if you’re and Arab Sheikh, though. And green revolutionists aren’t too happy either, claiming that the car didn’t just leave a carbon footprint, it left a “crater.”

Lamborghini MurcielagoThe kind of things you’d do if you had tons of money - crash a Lamborghini Murcielago and leave it by the roadside. That’s what Chicago Bears linebacker Lance Briggs did with his Lambo - $350,000 crashed and ditched. Absolutely crazy, if you’d ask me.

Besides, how could you crash one of these. While the Murcielago’s got 580 HP produced by a 6.5L V12 engine that makes 650 pound-feet of torque, it doesn’t give you any excuse at all to crash it. And of all places, a light post? An unfitting killer for such a car.

Police reports that Briggs probably lost control of the car. Briggs is a pretty large guy but if he can’t tame 580 horses from behind the wheel, he should be better off driving a rusted Chevy Nova instead. But that’s not the most horrendous thing about it - Briggs improperly left his wreck by the Chicago roadside. He’s okay though, and still reported to practice for the Bears.

Supercar Drag RaceHoly crap, is this real? I must get hold of the Road & Track Magazine next month then.

Road & Track tried to answer which supercar will perform best in the standing mile with, technically, a super car drag race, first to hit the 0-200mph. Out came the six supercars - the Lamborghini Murciélago, the Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren, the Ruf Rt 12, the Lingenfelter Corvette, the Bugatti Veyron 16.4, Hennessey Venom 1000 Twin Turbo Viper.
