News about people and crashed cars can’t get anymore interesting than this. Old men and fast supercars. Okay, I have to admit that one of my favorite older men driving fast cars would be Jeremy Clarkson and whenever he wrecks cars, it’s always a treat. But check this news bit out and be amused.
Fiat chief Sergio Marchionne rammed the latest V12 Ferrari 599 GTB against a parked Renault (driven by a 76 year old man at that) before ending up in a speed barrier. Braking shouldn’t have been a problem but Marchionne apparently tried doing so in speeds of about 100 kph. Thankfully only cars were hurt in this Swiss mishap with Marchionne walking away unhurt.
It’s not often that a diminutive Renault driven by a 76 year old can bring the latest V12 Ferrari to its knees. Overnight reports suggest that Fiat CEO Sergio Marchionne has slammed his 599 GTB into the rear of a 76 year-olds Renault at about 100kmh…thankfully there are no reported injuries. The accident occurred in Switzerland on Friday last week.
Again, it surprises me that people driving these sophisticated machines could really just wreck their vehicles. Rear-ending a car while driving a Ferrari? That’s absolutely unbelievable. Some insane test of brakes, that was. I mean how can you possibly do it in a Ferrari. Unless of course, you were stoned and playing chicken with the Incredible Hulk in a runaway semi.
Well, some inhuman gearheads may ask, “So what happened to the Ferrari?” The Ferrari’s totaled though.
