Chevy’s midsize sedan - the Malibu just got the price tags for its 2008 line. The MSRP for the base LS model is pegged at $19,995 and its hybrid incarnate at less than $3,000 at $22,790. Now amazingly, this price tag is a lot lower than what you’d expect for a car its size and features making it appealing to those currently in the market for practical sedans.

Air bags (front and side-impact, six in all), ABS, traction control, security, navigation, airconditioning and a satellite radio all come as standard for the Malibu. These luxuries don’t really come as standard in most car makes.
