I’ve always associated the thought of a hot rod with the color red. But this one, this is one green machine. The ‘34 Chevrolet Coupe E85 brings the vintage design and power of a hot rod to today’s eco-friendly world and it’s featured at the SEMA show at Las Vegas.

This 1934 Chevy replica is no pansy, sporting a monstrous 500 hp engine. But don’t worry about concerns of stretching a pipeline from the oil fields to this car’s gas tank. This doesn’t sport a chugging V8. Instead, this uses a 2.0L Ecotec turbo running on E85 (ethanol).

Now here’s a reason for the Monopoly board game to bring back the hot rod playing piece instead of that smug hybrid they’re featuring now.
