Over the years, pop culture has taught us that cop cars are those boxy relics where cops hang around in chomping on donuts and sipping on coffee. The swankier cars are usually reserved for the hotshot detective, the FBI or the ATF, but the black and whites flashing reds and blues are always the dorkiest ones. If car chases ensue, it would be the cop cars that would end up in smoke. But that is all about to change.

The Carbon Motors E7 is the first purpose-built police car and it packs so much oomph bad guys might want to steal them one. With such an aggressive mug, it’s not dorky at all. And you might want to think of James Bond in terms of the car’s arsenal. It sports a 360-degree video surveillance system with night vision, a head-up display, a biometric ignition and automatic number plate recognition.

Consider it as a mini-tank too since it sports a bulletproof aluminum bodywork capable of stopping bullets and impacts of as much as 75mph. Loaded as it is, it’s a speedster too, with a 3.0L engine BMW turbodiesel capable of dishing out 300bhp. The clock - 0-60 in 6.5 seconds and a top speed of 155mph.

For some reason, I’m hoping that some idiot crook would try to jack this one and realize his mistake behind bars.
