So the Ascari has drawn criticism for not having the panache of “proper” supercars. But perhaps even Jeremy Clarkson would yield. Now that the Ascari A10 is now the Top Gear’s Power Lap board leader.

On the hands (or does he have them?) of the Stig, the V8-powered, 625 bhp-wielding Ascari overtook the best of them (including the Zonda F MC12, Enzo…) even the previous leader Koenigsegg CCX with the Top Gear spoiler with a lap time of 1:17.3. Three-tenths faster than the Koenigsegg. Hey, that’s what you get for £350,000.

The A10 can do 0-60 of 2.8 seconds and naught to a hundred in under six, the car was definitely a monster but what impressed me is the lap time. How can the A10 do just that? Bitch slapping all the other. Too bad the Veyron has never set a lap time.

Now the Top Gear boys would probably be happy with this British make now tops the Power Lap board (never mind if it sports a German - BMW - engine).
