Looks like the Aston Martin One-77 is poised to set a record for the British marquee. Initial speed tests of the One-77 showed that the beast of the car can easily break supercar the 200 mph nirvana.

The One-77 is a limited edition car (only 77 of it will be ever built). It packs a massive 7.3L V12 under the hood that supposedly dishes out over 700 bhp. And that’s from a naturally-aspirated engine at that.

The speed test had the car do a top speed of 220 mph on a dry but windy day. Given better conditions, the car just might do even better.

First deliveries of the One-77 are expected to start by middle of 2010.
